The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mourns the loss of Supervisory Coordination Center Officer (SCCO) Becky Howard, from the Ohio Coordination Center in Columbus. She passed away Wednesday, after contracting COVID-19.

Howard joined TSA in 2004 as a TSO at Dayton International Airport. She was promoted to LTSO in 2006 and volunteered her time working in the Ohio Coordination Center. In 2010, she made the transition to Coordination Center Officer, and quickly excelled at data collection and incident management. She was recently promoted to SCCO and became a vital part of the FSD staff and leadership team, responsible for oversight of incident management and FSD metrics for the State of Ohio.

She is the 34th TSA employee to pass away following a COVID-19 infection, and she will be fondly remembered for her kindness and dedication to the transportation security mission.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to Howard’s family, friends and colleagues.
