As a result of the corona virus, air travel has been substantially reduced. All airport, airline and government employees are working hard to provide the safest experience for those passengers who do travel. Since the beginning of this crisis, TSA has made timely notification whenever a TSA employee has tested positive for COVID-19.
In our continuing efforts to be transparent, TSA has made additional updates to its TSA.gov to include an expanded FAQ and a new tracker that provides information on the total number of confirmed cases by location. This includes the last date of work for the most recent employee who has tested positive for COVID-19 and whether that employee may have performed screening duties, which may have placed them in close contact with passengers.
We want those who have a continued need to fly to have the latest facts and enable them to make the best informed decisions about their travel.
