
ALBANY, N.Y. – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is conducting a multi-step hiring event on Tuesday, Feb. 18, for individuals who are interested in becoming TSA officers to work at Albany International Airport. Interested individuals will be able to start the application process during this event, which includes computer-based testing, and an opportunity to be interviewed.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crown Plaza Desmond Hotel, located at 660 Albany Shaker Road, which is along the same road as the airport.Free parking is available. Several TSA officials and officers will be on site to guide individuals through the application process, conduct interviews, and answer questions about what the job entails.
TSA is hiring full- and part-time positions with a starting salary of $22.57 per hour. TSA offers new employees opportunities for pay increases and within two years officers could be earning $31.21 an hour. TSA is hiring women and men for these openings.
Applicants do not need previous experience working in security or law enforcement fields. New hires will receive extensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and will be paid while undergoing training.
