I would like to recognize Lead TSA Officer Ian Byrne at the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) for his professionalism and efficiency in helping us expedite security check-in for our return trip from SAT to Chicago Midway. He was our designated Passenger Support Specialist in response to our request for assistance through TSA Cares.
He contacted me by phone well in advance of our departure, and we arranged a timely meet up to get through security in a very timely manner. He was fully familiar with our son's needs (Type 1 diabetes) as well as the medical and nutritional supplies we had to carry with us. He communicated well with the other TSA officers on the line, and we managed to get through the entire line in less than five minutes.
We travel through the San Antonio Airport several times a year, and his professionalism and service are truly a credit to TSA. Thanks for having him on board to help individuals and families with special needs navigate security. His expert handling reduced by wife's anxiety about getting through the line without any delays.
