I arrived in Hays, Kansas on New Year’s Day. I had called a local car rental place ahead of time to make sure they would be open. When I landed in Hays, I discovered they were not.
The last flight of the day was leaving and TSA was closing up. I had an hour and a half trip I needed to make that day and no car. I was standing in the lobby in tears. Pam (Lead TSA Officer Pam Montgomery) I call her my TSA angel, came to my rescue. She found me a local cab company willing to drive me. She gave me the contact information and waited with me to make sure I would have a ride before she left. She went above and beyond her job description to make sure I was safe.
When I returned to the airport two days later she greeted me with a hug and was glad to see everything worked out. I do not know what I would have done if she wasn’t there.
