Back in November, my wife and I flew out of Gainesville Regional Airport to Charlotte, North Carolina. While a tiny airport, midday is a trying time with folks trying to get out on both Delta and American so the TSA security checkpoint was busy. Yet, we all moved through quickly and efficiently.
So, why would I bother to write this note?
The TSA personnel on duty that morning were simply the nicest, most cheerful team of professionals that I have encountered in a very long time. They wanted us to get through the process, quickly and with no fuss. They greeted everyone, they smiled and provided clear, cogent directions to those passengers who were, to be kind, new to the process. The folks monitoring the scanners were focused and attentive, the gatekeepers kept the two lines balanced and moving, and the person who appeared to be in charge was everywhere, including stacking trays when necessary.
What a fabulous way to start a trip! I hope you will pass along our thanks for a job well done.
