I am writing to express my gratitude for exceptional customer service by one of your TSA agents [officers]. I am referring to [Ronald Reagan] Washington National Airport Lead TSA Officer Olivia Linzy. My daughter, a college student returning to school, forgot her laptop at home. It was already a stressful situation, as American Airlines had cancelled and delayed her flights, and she was already two days delayed in returning.

My daughter told Linzy her dilemma as I rushed home to retrieve the laptop. Linzy was very kind and accepted the laptop from me to usher it through the screening process. Because of her actions , my daughter was able to make her flight.

Officer Linzy was not only professional and security conscious, but also kind and considerate. It made all the difference in the life of my daughter. In a time when flying has become increasingly stressful, she went out of her way to show a passenger a kindness.

I was a flight attendant for Pan American Airways in a flying era gone by. I rarely see dedicated employees anymore in an industry where they are often overworked, underpaid and, too frequently, mistreated.

Kudos to Officer Olivia Linzy.

If there is a way for TSA to recognize her for the dedicated employee that she is, it would be well deserved!

Sincerely,

Karen Hardie
