Statement on the passing of Transportation Security Officer Robert Jasinski after contracting COVID-19

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) mourns the loss of Transportation Security Officer (TSO) Robert Jasinski. He worked at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and passed away Tuesday following a COVID-19 infection.

Jasinski joined TSA in 2006 as a TSO at PHL and served as one of our dedicated baggage officers. Jasinski is the 36th TSA employee to pass away following a COVID infection. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and will be greatly missed by his colleagues at TSA Philadelphia.
