TSA to hire Full and Part time security screening officers for Burlington International Airport
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is holding a recruiting event Saturday, September 28 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. The event is designed to assist individuals interested in applying for a job as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at Burlington International Airport (BTV).
Starting pay at BTV today is currently $25.14 per hour; after two years salary will increase to $64,000 per year. TSA is also offering a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 for BTV, $1,000 after onboarding and an additional $1,000 after one year of service.
This event will provide an opportunity to accelerate the TSO hiring process. Attendees will receive guidance on completing the application process and if eligible, take a proctored test and interview. Interested applicants should bring at least one form of federal or state-issued identification with a photograph and a signature. Completion all of steps at the event may take several hours
As part of the information session, TSA will provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave, health care plans for full- and part-time employees, 401k coverage and more.
The event takes place at TSA offices, 110 Kimball Ave, South Burlington, VT.
