SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is holding a recruiting event Wednesday, September 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event is designed to assist individuals interested in applying for a job as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport (SAV).
Starting pay at SAV today is currently $18.96 per hour; after two years’ salary will increase to $60,000 per year.
This event will provide an opportunity to accelerate the TSO hiring process. Attendees will receive guidance on completing the application process and if eligible, take a proctored test and interview. Interested applicants should bring at least one form of federal or state-issued identification with a photograph and a signature. Completion all of steps at the event may take several hours.
As part of the information session, TSA will provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave, health care plans for full- and part-time employees, 401k coverage and more.
The event takes place at the Georgia Institute of Technology, 190 Technology Circle, Savannah, GA.
