BISMARCK – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hosting two hiring events to assist individuals interested in applying for a job as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at Bismarck Municipal Airport (BIS) and Williston Basin International Airport (XWA).
The events will be held:
- Tuesday, June 18, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Radisson Hotel, 605 E. Broadway Avenue , Bismarck, ND, 58501. Click here to register.

Attendees will receive information about TSO positions and have the opportunity to complete multiple steps of the hiring process. The event includes a presentation about the TSO role, application assistance, and scheduling of computer-based testing for job seekers. Participants will be able to complete all or part of these processes, which will significantly reduce the time required to get on board with TSA.
As part of the presentation sessions during the event, TSA will provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave, health care plans, 401k coverage and more.
Starting pay at BIS is $23.61 per hour, and starting pay at XWA is $24.68 per hour. New employees at XWA may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus, and with expected pay increases, can earn an annual salary of $63,000 after two years.
Candidates are required to have two valid forms of state or federal identification.
