COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is hosting application assistance events Thursday, March 21 to assist individuals interested in applying for a job as a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) and Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK).
The two events will take place:
- From 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Columbus Metropolitan Library – Parsons Branch, 1113 Parsons Ave., Columbus, OH 43206. Click here to register.
- From 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at Columbus Metropolitan Library – Shepard Branch, 850 N Nelson Rd, Columbus, OH 43219. Click here to register.
Attendees will receive information about TSO positions and have the opportunity to complete multiple steps of the hiring process. The event includes a presentation about the TSO role, application assistance, completion of computer-based testing, and interviews for job seekers. Participants will be able to complete all or part of these processes, which will significantly reduce the time required to get on board with TSA.
As part of the presentation sessions during the event, TSA will provide an overview of working for the federal government and discuss benefits, which include paid leave, health care plans, 401k coverage and more.
Starting pay at the two airports is $21.51 per hour. Candidates are required to have two valid forms of state or federal identification.
