TSA hiring event scheduled in Charlottesville

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will be conducting a local hiring event to fill openings at Charlottesville-Albemarle. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 30, at the Hillsdale Conference Center, 550 Hillsdale Drive in Charlottesville.

TSA is hiring full- and part-time TSA officers at Charlottesville and the event provides interested individuals with the opportunity to learn more about what it is like to work as a TSA officer. In addition to providing information, interested persons can complete the job application on-site and set up an interview.

TSA positions have a starting salary of $41,009 per year and part-time officers earning $19.65 per hour.

TSA officers screen thousands of airline travelers daily, ensuring they arrive at their destinations safely.

Applicants do not need previous experience working in security or law enforcement fields. New hires will receive extensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and they are paid while undergoing training.
