The events will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Philadelphia Airport, located at 9000 Bartram Avenue, near the airport. Free parking is available. Individuals can learn more about what it is like to work as a TSA officer and they will be able to begin the hiring process at the events. Masked TSO

There are currently openings for both full- and part-time positions with a starting salary of $20.31 per hour. TSA offers new employees opportunities for pay increases after six months. TSA is currently offering a $1,000 hiring bonus to individuals who become TSA officers at Philadelphia. New hires will receive $500 upon starting and another $500 at their one-year anniversary.

TSA officers screen thousands of airline travelers daily, ensuring they arrive at their destinations safely. TSA expects to screen a greater volume of travelers regularly this summer and needs additional officers to support its security mission.

Applicants do not need previous experience working in security or law enforcement fields. New hires will receive extensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and they are paid while undergoing training. PHL recruitment events April 2022

Attending one of the recruitment events will offer individuals an opportunity to accelerate the hiring process. People who are interested in applying are asked to bring two forms of ID. It is also recommended to arrive early because the application process may take three or more hours. The event will start with an information session; a computer-based test to evaluate English language proficiency and object recognition aptitude; an interview; a medical evaluation; and federal drug screening.

Benefits of working at TSA for both part- and full-time employees include paid training, annual and sick leave and strong health care plans. TSA is committed to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment and encourages individuals of all backgrounds to apply, including military veterans and persons with disabilities.   TSA offers new employees opportunities for pay increases after six months.
