Monday, September 16, 2019

DUBUQUE –The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will open a temporary TSA Pre✓® enrollment center at the Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) from Monday, October 21 – Friday, October 25.

The temporary enrollment center will be located at Airline Ticket Office #2, next to the American Airlines ticket counter in the Dubuque Regional Airport Terminal Building at 10965 Aviation Drive in Dubuque.  Appointment hours will be Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday from 7 a.m. – 11 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Applicants don’t need an airline ticket to access the enrollment center.

Although walk-ins will be accepted on a space-available basis, TSA and the airport recommend that individuals pre-enroll on-line and make an appointment at www.Identogo.com/precheck.

Travelers who are enrolled in TSA Pre✓® or another trusted traveler program such as Customs and Border Protection’s Global Entry, SENTRI or NEXUS are permitted to keep their shoes, belts and light outerwear jackets on, and can leave their laptops and liquid 3-1-1 bags inside their carry-on when processing through an airport security checkpoint. To find the program that best suits your travel needs, use the DHS trusted traveler comparison tool.

The application fee is $85, which covers a five-year membership. The fee must be paid at the enrollment center by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Enrollees will need to bring documentation proving identity and citizenship or legal residency status. Documentation requirements are listed on the DHS trusted traveler comparison tool site. Fingerprints are collected to complete a background check.

Successful applicants will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN), which they can access online in about a week. Passengers should enter the KTN when booking airline reservations online via a participating airline website, via phone call to the airline reservation center, or with the travel management company making reservations.
