BURBANK, Calif. - The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today announced a permanent TSA Pre✓® enrollment office has opened in Burbank, Calif. This is the only permanent enrollment center available in this area of Los Angeles County.
The office is located at 2436 W. Victory Boulevard in the Landmark Shopping Center. It is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The shopping center is located on the south side of Victory Boulevard and east of N. Buena Vista Street and west of N. Brighton Street. Parking is free.
TSA Pre✓® is a popular expedited security screening program offered at airports across the country. Travelers eligible for TSA Pre✓® can leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt during when going through the security checkpoint. At more than 200 airports where dedicated TSA Pre✓® lanes are available, travelers can also leave their laptops, electronics larger than a cell phone and travel-size liquids in their carry-on luggage during the security checkpoint screening process.
To make an appointment to enroll in TSA Pre✓® at the Burbank location, click here and select “Apply Now” and follow the online prompts. Select “Burbank, CA” as your enrollment location. An in-person visit to the enrollment center is required to complete the application process. Applicants must bring a current U.S. passport or a driver license and a certified copy of a birth certificate. Fingerprints will be collected at the enrollment office.
Travelers who want to enjoy the benefits of TSA Pre✓® on a consistent basis are encouraged to enroll in the program. The application fee is $85 and Trusted Traveler status is good for five years. It can be paid at the time of your appointment by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Walk-ins are permitted.
Once approved, individuals will receive a Known Traveler Number making them eligible to experience TSA Pre✓® screening at airports nationwide. Children 12 and under are permitted to use the TSA Pre✓® lane when traveling with an eligible parent or guardian.
TSA recently announced the expansion of TSA Pre✓® to include nine additional domestic and international carriers, bringing the total of number of participating airlines to 65. TSA continues to incorporate random and unpredictable security measures both seen and unseen throughout the airport. All travelers will be screened, and no individual is ever guaranteed expedited screening.
In addition to offering TSA Pre✓® enrollment, this location also processes HAZMAT endorsements, the Transportation Worker Identification Credential and provides other identity-related services. Prior to the opening of the Burbank location, residents had to visit other TSA Pre✓® enrollment locations in Los Angeles County including Los Angeles International Airport, Terminal 1; Lakewood; Rancho Palos Verdes and a Staples retail store located in the 5400 block of Wilshire Boulevard.
