KALISPELL, Mont. – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today reminded local Flathead Valley residents that they will have the opportunity to enroll in the popular TSA Pre✓® expedited screening program at Glacier Park International Airport starting Monday, Feb. 26.

A TSA Pre✓® application center will be offered starting Monday, Feb. 26 through Friday, March 2. The office will be open from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 - 5 p.m. It will be located in the Swift Current room located in the airport’s main terminal. The airport is located at 4170 Highway 2 E. in Kalispell.

TSA Pre✓® allows Trusted Travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt during the security screening process. They can also leave their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels in their carry-on bag. Travelers who want to enjoy the benefits of TSA Pre✓® on a consistent basis are encouraged to enroll in the program.

“We are pleased that local residents will have the opportunity to enroll in TSA Pre✓® at their nearby airport, making the process even more accessible and streamlined,” said Dan Fevold, TSA federal security director for Montana. “Act now to make an appointment so you can use the dedicated TSA Pre✓® lane the next time you depart from Glacier Park International Airport.”

The process to apply begins online by visiting the IdentoGo website. Click on the words “Start Application Now” to make an appointment during the week of Feb. 26 to complete the enrollment process in-person at the on-airport TSA Pre✓® application center. Applicants must bring a current U.S. passport or a driver’s license and certified copy of a birth certificate, and fingerprints will be collected during the in-person session.

The application fee is $85 and Trusted Traveler status is good for five years. It can be paid at the time of your appointment by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Walk-ins are permitted and will be accommodated around scheduled appointments.

Once approved, individuals will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) making them eligible to utilize TSA Pre✓® lanes on a consistent basis at security checkpoints at airports nationwide. Children 12 and under are permitted to use the TSA Pre✓® lane when traveling with a TSA Pre✓® - eligible parent or guardian.

Forty-seven airlines participate in TSA Pre✓® and travelers departing a U.S. airport flying on any of those airlines are eligible for expedited screening. As always, TSA continues to incorporate random and unpredictable security measures both seen and unseen throughout the airport. All travelers will be screened, and no individual will be guaranteed expedited screening.

Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines all serve Glacier Park International Airport and are participating TSA Pre✓® airlines. Cities with year-round service include Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Seattle. Additional cities with seasonal service include Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco and Portland.
