What’s better than one gift? A whole basket of them!
Gift baskets often contain lotions, oils and perfumes. If you’re carrying these liquid items through the checkpoint, they must adhere to the 3-1-1 liquid guidelines.
No peeking!
Kick wrapping paper to the curb and try using gift bags. If your gift sets off an alarm or requires additional screening, you won’t be delayed or have your present unwrapped.
Death by chocolate doesn’t sound like a bad thing
Regular and cream filled chocolates are not only good on your tongue…but also good to go through security. Because everything, even a middle seat, is better with chocolate.
Don’t change a thing.... except the way you smell
Bottles that are 3.4 ounces or smaller are allowed in your carry-on bag as long as they follow the 3-1-1 liquid guidelines. When in doubt, pack it in your checked luggage.
Flowers are love’s truest language
Fresh flowers are allowed through the checkpoint. Just skip the water in the vase. We suggest wrapping the stems in damp paper towels and plastic wrap or foil to keep them hydrated while you travel.
Still not sure if an item can fly? Our AskTSA team, available on Facebook or Twitter, would love to answer your Valentine’s Day security screening questions.
