Christine Griggs is the Assistant Administrator for Civil Rights & Liberties, Ombudsman and Traveler Engagement.

She manages the day-to-day operations of five divisions responsible for ensuring that TSA employees and the traveling public are treated in a fair and lawful manner, consistent with federal laws and regulations protecting privacy and individuals’ rights, governing freedom of information, and prohibiting discrimination and reprisal while promoting diversity and inclusion. 

Since joining TSA in January 2002, Griggs has served as an Area Director, Acting Federal Security Director, Deputy Federal Security Director and Stakeholder Manager at three large airports: Oakland International, Philadelphia International, and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International. 

Prior to joining TSA, she was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Civil Aviation Security Inspector and by the Office of Personnel Management as an Investigator. Griggs is a graduate of Seton Hall University.
